Wudang Five Elements of Health and Wellness (Part I)

Wudang Five Elements Health Care is one of the many Wudang practice exercises, only secretly in the Wudang Mountain Gate.

The exercises are divided into static and dynamic work.

There are standing exercises, sitting and sleeping skills in the static work. There are turtles, snakes, tigers, dragons and cranes in the movement.

The dynamism of Wudang’s health-giving skills is based on the Taoist inner Danfu. After the foundation is refining, the vitality is born. After having the internal strength foundation, the animals of the five images, like their shape, take their meaning, in the natural world.The law of life, serving its own cultivation, to achieve the role of practicing bones, shaping, training, training, refining, and refining the spirit.

Wudang Taoist five elements of health care follow the theory of the five elements of each other, in the movement, the turtle is water, the snake is a fire, the dragon is wood, the tiger is gold, the crane is soil.

Wudang Mountain worships Xuanwu, the turtle snake is the image of Xuanwu, which refers to the heart and kidney, water and fire; and the dragon and tiger represent the liver and lungs; the crane symbolizes the true meaning of the movement, the spleen.

Therefore, the movements of the five elements of health work are also divided into turtle shape, serpentine shape, dragon shape, tiger shape, and crane shape.

Each line (shape) is from the start type to the collection type is nine styles, and the five lines are a total of forty-five styles.

The first section of the turtle-shaped first-type body is naturally upright, the legs are slightly flexed, and the feet are divided; the two hands are drooping and the tiger’s mouth is round.

The head is light and the top is topped, the sputum is received, the top of the tongue is topped, the loose shoulders are elbow, the toes are gripped, and the anus is lifted.

(Figure 1) Requires breathing naturally, closing your eyes and adjusting your mind to calm your mind.

The second type of qi qi returned to the Yuan and slowly separated. The palms were opposite. They were lifted up to the chest and flattened at the dantian. The movements required a soothing and smooth movement.

Breathing is deep, the body sinks when inhaling, and the body floats when exhaling, repeated three times; to do the vomiting, and to introduce qi into Dantian.

(Fig. 2) The third type of mixed element is raised from the dantian to the chest, and the front is flattened. Press and hold the circle, the middle finger is opposite, and the palm is facing inward.

It is required to pull the back of the chest, sit down and sit on the back, breathe naturally, and have a gas from Dantian to the whole body.

(Fig. 3) The fourth type of tyrants lifts the double elbows inside, the wrists of the hands are rotated, the palms are lifted up, and the top of the head is opposite.

Ask your hands to try your best to go up, pull out the whole body, and connect with the sky.

After that, clench the fists, the fists are facing the face, tilting and tilting; the whole body sinks.

While bending down, the back of the hand is close to the waist, and the shoulders are turned: the palms are facing down, and the hands are touched with the fingers and the fingers are raised upwards.

To do this, you must have a sense of grasping the earth’s aura.

(Fig. 5) The sixth type of black turtles are raised with both hands, chest, face lifted to the top of the head, hands turn over the chest, turn the wrists, palms up, try to top up, while the body is pulled up, to the extremeTurn your head and turn your wrists.

Then the palms are opposite and the hands fall.

When you ask for this style, your eyes will go away, your legs will be slightly flexed, your waist will sink, and you will breathe.

(Fig. 6) The seventh type of golden turtle plays the water waist to the right, and the right hand turns around. The left hand is stretched back to the waist at the same time. At the same time, the right heel is used as the shaft buckle, and the center of gravity moves to the right leg.The foot is placed at the appropriate position in front of the waist to stand firmly; the right hand is shoulder-oriented and moves from the waist side to the forehead height.

(Fig. 7) After the above actions are completed continuously, change the direction, that is, the left foot buckle, the center of gravity moves slowly to the left leg, the right hand is pressed to the waist under the arc, and the left hand is turned down and then lifted up to face the forehead height.

This style should be repeated three times.

This style requires bow and knee bending, the waist and legs are sinking, round and round, the back is straight, and the ten fingers are loose.

The eighth type of golden turtle Tudan hands from the upper and lower positions of the upper type, to the palm of the hand, flat chest.

The whole body is forward, and the front heel is forced toward the back; the hand is held in place and the body is moved to the back.

(Fig. 8) When doing this, the arm is required to be rounded, and the eye is looking straight ahead, sinking and bending.

Breathing through the nose, the sense of inspiration is still a small air mass population.

The upper body is like a wave.

This type should be repeated three times, then turn the body to change direction, and then repeat the above-mentioned “Golden Turtles Play”.

After the ninth type of payment is completed, after the above-mentioned “Golden Turtle Spitting Dan”, adjust the footwork, the feet are aligned in parallel, the hands are pushed up and down, and then the palms are turned down, and they are connected to the Dantian, and they are placed on the chest, thenAfter pressing down to Dantian, both hands hang on the side of the body, and the legs are erected.

The snake is a fire in the five elements. It is a heart in the five internal organs of the human body. It is often practiced in the form of a serpent. It can raise the heart and refine the body, and the body is soft.

(Fig. 10) The second type of qi qi is slowly separated by two hands. The palms are opposite. They are lifted up to the chest and flattened at the dantian. The movements are required to be soothing and stable.

Breathing is deep, the body sinks when inhaling, and the body floats when exhaling, repeated three times; to make the spit and new, and to induce qi to return to Dantian.

(Fig. 11) The third type of rotation is opposite to each other, and the circle is rotated in the chest, and the palm is used as the axis to rotate clockwise.

The right hand is pushed flat from the chest to the right shoulder, with the fingertips facing forward; the left hand is pulled to the chest and dragged to the left to form a wide chest.

Flex the right arm to the chest, and the left hand is the opposite of the two hands, and do it again and again.

This type requires inhalation when the chest is wide, exhales when the circle is round, and the breath is deep.

(Fig. 12) The fourth type of gold snake wrapped around the left hand reinserted into the chest, flipped the wrist to the front; the right hand then pressed the wrist down, the shoulder arm tried to support.

Change the direction with both hands and repeat the movement.

This style requires a coherent movement, the waist moves with the arm, and both hands look like a figure 8 on the chest.

(Fig. 1 3) The fifth type of white snake has a left-handed body, sinks, and the left leg is retracted, showing a right lunge. The left hand goes to the left leg from the bottom to the top, while the center of gravity moves to the right leg.Lump, then the left and right hands are staggered, and the left hand is stretched forward.

This type of action requires pulling over the chest, sitting on the legs, pulling the arms as far as possible, breathing evenly, and loosening the body.

(Fig. 14) The sixth type of white snake enters the hole with the right hand and the left hand closes at the waist, closes the waist and bends the body.

This type requires the chest to be pulled back when the body is closed, but the upper body is not allowed to bow.

This style requires a consistent and smooth movement, with the process of armpits, shoulders, and chest opening.

After this style is completed, the “White Snake Out Hole”, “White Snake Man Cave” and “Green Snake Volcano” are repeated three times in succession.

(Fig. 16) The eighth type of big python turned over and completed the third time after the “white snake came out of the hole”. At the same time as the left leg, the body’s center of gravity moved to the left leg, and the right hand stretched out from the waist and turned over.

This style is a swivel movement, requiring you to turn around with your waist and your eyes to go.

After completing the “big bang over”, the body turned in the direction, and then proceeded to “white snake out of the hole”, “white snake into the hole”, “green snake volcano” three, repeated three times.

(Fig. 17) After the ninth type of payment is completed, the white snake is out of the hole. The upper right foot is the same width as the shoulder. The two hands are closed upwards. Press the palm of your head and press it to the dantian. The legs are erect and the hands are hanging on the side of the body.Concentrate on the temper.
(Fig. 18) The third section of the Tiger Tiger is a symbol of mightyness and benevolence.

The tiger is a gold in the five elements, often practicing tiger-shaped, strong bones, strong physical strength, and smooth breathing.

The first type of body is naturally upright, the legs are slightly bent, the feet are suitable, the hands are drooping, and the tiger’s mouth is round.

(Fig. 19) The second type of bleed air is slowly separated from each other. The palms are opposite. They are lifted up to the chest and flattened at the dantian. The movements require soothing and smooth, deep breathing, sinking when inhaling, exhaling.The body floats up and repeats three times.

This type requires that the action is stable, twisted and rounded, and the relaxation is clear.

(Fig. 21) The fourth type of the tiger’s hurricane is twisted to the left, and the left foot is then withdrawn to the heel of the right foot, and the right foot is pointed to the ground.

Both hands use the elbow as the axis, and the counterclockwise circle is closed under the abdomen; at the same time, the leg is bent and the body sinks.

(Fig. 22) The fifth type of tiger hunted the right foot forward, aligned with the bend, and tried to stretch out. After landing on the ground, the left foot was kept up to the right time; at the same time, both hands were pushed forward in a curved shape, and the shoulders were flat.

The arm is slightly bent and elbowed, the body sinks and sits back.

This type exhales when the palm is pushed forward, and inhales when the arm bends back.

(Fig. 2 3) The sixth type of Lihu Jingguan side twists the waist, the two wrists turn into opposite, the right hand is in front, the left hand is behind, the ten fingers are open, and the arms are round; at the same time, the left foot is slightly extended, followed by the ground.

This type requires the top of the head, the top of the heel, and the top.(Fig. 24) The seventh type of tiger swallows the side of the throat, the body sinks, and flattens backwards, and the center of gravity moves forward; hands with the wrist as the axis, ten fingers face down, push forward with the knee, and turn into “Fuhu”Listen to the wind” style.

Put “Fo Hu listening to the wind”, “Tigers rushing to eat”, “Li Hu Jing Guan” and “Tiger Tigers” together and repeat it three times.

(Fig. 25) After the Eighth Tigers turned back to complete the above-mentioned “Tiger Tigers”, the left foot was buckled and the waist turned backwards. At the same time, the right hand was pressed down to the waist and the left hand was lifted parallel to the face.

This is a movement that changes direction. After completing this style, in the original opposite direction, “Fuhu listens to the wind”, “Tiger Tigers eat”, “Li Hu Jing Guan” and “Tiger Tigers” are repeated.Three times.
(Fig. 26) When the ninth type of collection is done, it is directly transferred from the “Tiger Tigers”. After turning around, the two feet are moved to the shoulder width, and the hands are combined in the face, and then pressed to Dantian, and then changed to palm.Close to the side of the body, close the legs upright, calm and adjust.
